Can a wire-cube shelving system made up of four cube blocks hold a ten gallon turtle tank?
I have this turtle tank that a friend gave me. It has a thin layer of rocks, 2 floating logs and will hold 2 red eared sliders. I plan to fill it up halfway with water. The tank is about 12″ high. I have those metal wire-cubes and plan to put 2 cubes on 2 cubes. I read on the internet the cubes can hold up to 20 lbs each. Will the cubes hold up this tank?
it depends on the quality and thickness of the shelf.
thicker = holds more weight.
but if the particular brand you chose said up to 20lbs and it is trusted to keep its word. go for it.
if not then i wouldnt risk waking up to find runaway turtles with shattered glass on the floor.
